Abstract  The low power factor, three-phase load imbalance is a common problem in the distribution network, resulting in low quality of power distribution network, causing the system to have a greater loss, the energy utilization rate is greatly reduced.In order to improve the quality of the power grid, improve power utilization in the power grid with reactive power compensation device is a commonly used method of leveling. At present, the SVC static type dynamic reactive power compensation device is used more effectively. In this paper, the SVC reactive power compensation device is studied from two aspects of hardware and software, and its effect is tested through the application of engineering.
