On Line Fault Location of Distribution Network |

Abstract When the single-phase-to-ground fault occurs in neutral point resonant grounded system resonant, the fault current is small and the fault location is very difficult. In this paper, the principle of single-phase-to-ground fault occurred in neutral point resonant system is analyzed, and the variation characteristics of zero sequence current on each line are given with the adjustment of arc suppression coil. The fault information matrix is present based on the increment of the zero sequence current, and section fault location is realized by the matrix operation of fault information matrix with network relevant matrix which combining the topological relationship between the section and the monitoring point. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
