A method of utility harmonic impedance estimation based on EFICA |

Abstract The utility harmonic impedance is a crucial parameter for harmonic emission level assessment, a method of utility harmonic impedance estimation based on efficient variant of FastICA is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the harmonic voltage and harmonic current at the point of common coupling are decentralized and whitened; Secondly, the processed harmonic voltage and harmonic current are separated with improved EFICA to obtain the mixed matrix; Then, the nonlinear function is adaptively selected for the asymptotic analysis to obtain the mixed matrix; finally, the utility harmonic impedance is obtained according to the linear relationship between mixed matrix and harmonic impedance matrix. The simulation analysis on Norton equivalent circuit shows that the estimation result of the proposed method is more accurate.
