Abstract Condensation of air in the cabinet is the main cause of flashover failure in the operation of substation switch cabinet. Based on the mechanism analysis of condensation formation, the technical implementation scheme of eliminating condensation in high-voltage switch cabinet with cable trench inlet is proposed. By keeping the air temperature and humidity parameters in cable trench and switch room to be uniform, condensation in high-voltage switch cabinet is effectively avoided. The engineering practice proves that the technical scheme is feasible.
