Abstract The appropriate management system will improve the life of lithium-ion battery, this paper designs a kind of battery management system according to the actual need of the two-wheeled self-balancing electric vehicle, which uses a type of 18650 lithium-ion battery with the nominal capacity of 6.6Ah.Through the PIC microcontroller realizes the function of each part of the system, which is analyzed in a detail way.
