Abstract Through an accident of burning out the thyristor unit of the LCI during the start-up of a gas generating unit, the process of static start-up of 9FB gas generating unit is introduced, and the function of the LS2100e system is analyzed. The main causes of the accident are found out from the aspects of design, maintenance and defects of LS2100e. Finally, it is put forward to strengthen the maintenance of LS2100e.
