Abstract Two systems in the power grid make use of the 220kV intelligent substation 220kV I and II bus joint measurement and control when closing the bus joint breaker in the same period, the asynchronous closing accident occurs. Through the thorough analysis of the causes of the accident and the exposed problems, combined with the working principle of the measurement and control synchronization device, the reasonable solutions to the problems exposed by the accident are put forward it provides a reference method for the safe operation of synchronous closing of substation and the analysis and treatment of similar accidents.
