Abstract Xue jia wan area is located in hilly land, gully aspect and the environment is bad, the annual average thunderstorms rate is higher, which belongs to many mine areas, The transmission line in this area occurs lightning trip-out failure frequently in recent years, which harms to the safety and stable operation of the transmission line seriously, for the region’s power grid caused serious harm. This paper researches and analyzes the high trip rate of ZhunGeEr area transmission line, it is resulted by lightning strike, and find out rectification measures about avoiding lightning strike so as to effectively reduce the region’s lightning trip-out rate ang this measures accord with the actual application of ZhunGeEr region.
