Abstract When a circuit breaker trips due to a fault, the integrity of the closing circuit lacks effective monitoring means. This poses a challenge to the reliability of the automatic reclosing function, as reclosing cannot be achieved after the circuit breaker experiences a temporary fault trip. The article takes practical cases as the breakthrough point, analyzes the reasons of the failure of switch reclosing, and designs an indicator with self-checking function for closing and blocking. By pressing the button on the indicator panel, the normally open contacts of the circuit breaker opening and closing auxiliary switch are connected, and then the closing and locking circuit of the circuit breaker is connected. The closing and locking electromagnet is energized and closed. By connecting the closing and unlocking indicator light through the travel contact installed on the closing and locking electromagnet, the integrity of the closing and locking circuit can be detected during the operation of the circuit breaker. Furthermore, it provides guarantee for the protection device to achieve automatic reclosing function.
