A method for index reduction of contactor's performance evaluation |

Abstract At present, the evaluation indexes used in the study of dynamic response performance of AC contactors are different, the index systems are not uniform, the data processing is complicated with high test cost, and it is not easy to calculate indicator weights. Therefore, this paper proposes an index dimension reduction method based on grey correlation & clustering theory by taking nine CJ—2025 AC contactors as the research objects, and taking 21 indicators adopted by the team as an example. Firstly, 21 indicators are divided into important, supplementary and optional categories by grey clustering theory. Secondly, according to the different typical combinations including the three type indexes, a variety of index set schemes are set up, and the closing performance of nine contactor samples is classified and ordered respectively. The optimal index system is determined based on the criteria of the same classification and the ordering consistency as 21 index systems. On the basis of the reconstructed index system, the detailed formulas of objective weight of each index are provided. The result shows that the number of evaluation indexes can be reduced to thirteen with the proposed index-reduction method.
