Design of the Thickener Raker Load Monitoring System based on PLC |

Abstract As to the issue of overload in deep cone thickener, force in raker agitating was analyzed and mathematic model between thickener raker torque and actuator power was built. The thickener raker load monitoring system was designed in this paper based on PLC. The system can monitor raker torque in real time, and can communicate with DCS system. The system would alarm or shutdown if the raker overload. The results show that this system can avoid the raker machine overload, and can reduce the energy consumption, and can guarantee system operation reliability.
