Abstract  A electricity generation improving technique applying for megawatt wind turbine generator unit is introduced. That’s to say, when the generator unit is in low speed, the blade is fine adjusted by the pitch controller to obtain the maximum power coefficient. The fundamental principle and implementation basis of this technique is illustrated. The control system is simulated and analyzed, and the results show this strategy can improve the power curve obviously. Finally, a testing wind farm is selected in the both south and north to verify the reliability and validity of this technique.
