Abstract According to national and international standards, this paper specifies the cross-section sizes of metallic screen of power cable so that it meets with the thermal short-circuit requirements. It ensures that the metallic screen meet the requirements for long-term safe operation of power distribution systems. The conclusion is part of technical specifications for tender documents.
