Abstract The overvoltage problem of traction power supply system is a very important problem to the safe operation of the system. Overvoltage problem highlight its feature because of the power supply system’s particularity of structure and operation mode. Several appeared in traction power supply system of the typical over-voltage are compared and analyzed, the security measures and suggestions, to improve the safety and reliability of the system has strong practical significance.
