An Accident Analysis of Contamination Flashover under Special Climate Conditions |

Abstract A Fault occurs in an transformer substation, investigation shows that it is caused by pollution fashover happened in insulator of bus isolating switch, of which external insulation configuration met the requirement of site pollution severity class in this area. But in special conditions, contamination flashover still occurred. In this paper, the reason of the fault is detailed analyzed, treament measures is proposed simultaneously.
