Sliding Mode Control based on Fuzzy Reaching Law of PMSM Drive System |

Abstract To meet the demand of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drive system’s high-performance control and robustness, a sliding mode controller based on fuzzy reaching law with simple algorithm and easy implementation is researched by combining reaching law of sliding mode variable structure control and fuzzy control. According to the values of switching function, the controller can use fuzzy rules to adjust reaching law’s parameters in real time and resolve the problems of system’s approaching rapidity and restraining chattering. The simulative test of PMSM’s vector control system shows that adopting sliding mode controller based on fuzzy reaching law as speed regulator, rotate speed responds rapidly, stabilizes quickly and has no overshoot and that system obtains better dynamic performance, has stronger robustness for parameter perturbation and external load disturbance and reduces chattering phenomenon.
