Abstract This paper presents a practical and flexible solution of 20kV distribution network neutral point switching by the intelligent controller, and introduces the design of the intelligent controller based on STM32F103ZET6 embedded chip and peripheral circuits. This paper highlights the main hardware design and explains the software ideas of ground mode selection, fault characteristics judgment, fault type determine, resistance switching circuit detection, resistance switching time control, high impedance ground fault judgment, intermittent ground fault judgment. Device testing shows that the controller can achieve voltage and current real-time monitoring, and complete the neutral grounding intelligent switching judging by the fault feature. This solution can improve the reliability of power supply significantly and ensure the safety of device.
