Analysis of the Cooperation between Selectivity and Sensibility of Standby Transformer Protection

Abstract  A special trip of standby transformer protection is introduced, in the case, the selectivity and sensibility is difficult to give consideration together. Moreover, starting from the general phenomenon, this paper gives thorough study on how to deal with cooperation between the high and low voltage standby protection of transformer, and how to make a reasonable choice between the selectivity and the sensibility of the protection setting value by using fault current simulation system and according to information of fault recorder, which not only provides realistic reference for the setting calculation of standby transformer protection, but also presents measures in accord with actual demands for improving the power grid reliability and security.
