Application of 3D GIS Technology in the Path Selection of Transmission Line |

Abstract Combined with the features of the DEM, DOM and GIS system, and builds a transmission path selection 3D platform by using the skill of magnanimity data processing and 3D GIS. This platform was used in Shazhou(Gansu)-Axel (Democratic) 330kV Ⅰ. Ⅱ project, and the result indicates that: with the help of transmission path selection 3D platform, the electric designers can have a clearly and immersive vision about the surroundings, overcoming the disadvantages of 2D map. In addition to that, this platform has the abilities of optimizing the line route, economizing investment, reducing labor intensity and improving the design quality.
