Abstract:In the working process of the PV array, partial shadow will result in that the output characteristic curve of photovoltaic array has multiple peaks. In this case, it is difficult to control the PV system to work at the global optimum through the traditional algorithm. In order to solve this problem, the mayfly algorithm (MA) is applied to the maximum power point tracking (MPPT) control of photovoltaic array. Aiming at the problem that the slow attenuation of velocity inertia in the MA causes the system to converge after a long period of oscillation, the MA is improved through the Levy flight motion law, so that the system can enter the steady state at a faster speed. In order to verify the efficiency of the algorithm, the MPPT control of photovoltaic array under three working environments is realized by particle swarm optimization (PSO), MA and Levy flight MA, and the advantages of Levy flight MA are verified by comparing the output power curves under the control of different algorithms.
