Abstract:The position monitoring circuit is capable of reflecting the position status of the circuit breaker and the integrity of the trip and close circuits, playing a crucial monitoring role in the circuit breaker's control circuit. This paper addresses a potential hazard in a 1 000 kV ultra-high voltage substation where the C-phase trip circuit monitoring wire of the circuit breaker is incorrectly connected. A theoretical analysis is conducted on the wiring methods of the position monitoring and control circuit disconnection signal circuits, highlighting that most current hazards are related to power loss, with insufficient awareness of long-term energized hazards that may lack alarm indications. Furthermore, the coordination between the conventional trip position monitoring circuit and the circuit breaker's anti-pump circuit is discussed, elucidating the rationality of their coordination under different scenarios. Lastly, based on the hazard investigation, suggestions for improvement in the acceptance of infrastructure and technical renovation projects are proposed.
