Abstract This paper introduces a partial discharge monitoring system combined current measuring and ultrasonic detecting. Rogowski coil was used to acquire current pulse, and high anti-jamming ultrasound probe to collect acoustic signals of partial discharge. Via a PC software to calculate the amplitude, frequency and discharge source location. The device uses pulse separation technology and optical fiber transmission system to achieve on-line monitoring of partial discharge under strong interference environment, and make the monitoring data more realistic and reliable.
