The Study of Self-adapt Harmonic Detection in Power Grid based on the Wavelet Transformation

Abstract  In view of the spectrum aliasing effect and the issues of slow detection and weak real-time performance caused by inappropriate wavelet level decision exist in the harmonic detection, a comprehensive harmonic detection method is proposed to fix the wavelet level based on the frequency of fundamental and harmonic wave. This method fixes the wavelet level by the fundamental frequency and the boundary of minimum frequency range, which separates the fundamental wave from signal accurately, resulting to the decrease of complicated computation and improvement of the detection precisionfundamental wave information.
