Abstract This paper briefly indicate the operational principle of residual heat power generation in the thermo-eletric plant. And the same time, the selection method of the generator and the capacity is discussed in detail. Furtherly the possible consequence of the electrical connection schemes for the safa operation of the auxiliary power system is the focus of the statement. Then some suggestions on selection of generator and parameters are put forward. At the end of this paper, the stable operation of the auxiliary power system is guaranteed by the analysis and calculation of the combination engineering case.
