Abstract  Primary frequency modulation is a basic auxiliary service that the power plant needs to provide free of charge for the power gird. When the primary frequency modulation can not meet the requirements of the power grid, it must be assessed. One of the reasons for the low pass rate of the primary frequency modulation is that the primary frequency modulation signal source of the unit is from the speed signal of the unit, and the frequency signal is used for the power grid assess the primary frequency modulation. The difference of the signal source leads to the worse performance of the primary frequency modulation. After the technical transformation of high precision frequency source, the logical optimization is carried out at the same time, which realizes the obvious improvement of the pass rate of the primary frequency modulation, and basically avoids the occurrence of the assessment.
