Abstract  At present, there are many problems in the installation and maintenance of gas insulated switchgear equipment, such as heavy labor intensity, high difficulty in installation and hidden safety hazards. Based on the investigation of many domestic gas insulated switchgear substations, this paper designs a fixture mechanism which can be applied to intelligent disassembly and assembly robot of gas insulated switchgear equipment. Aiming at the disassembly and assembling condition of gas insulated switchgear equipment, the design index of fixture mechanism is put forward, and the fixture is designed according to the index. The modeling and simulation under Ansys software proves that the clamp designed in this paper can meet the disassembly and assembling index of gas insulated switchgear equipment and can be widely applied.
