Abstract  Condenser is widely used in ultra-high voltage power grid because of its strong two-way reactive power adjustment ability. Condenser starting and Synchronization as the premise and important link of the unit safe operation play a key role in the operation of condenser. This paper mainly introduces the equipment and structure of large condenser starting, the start-up process, the Synchronization method and some of the key technologies to realize the quasi-synchronizing.
