Abstract  Aiming at the problems that unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) on transmission lines have various types and different performances, and it is difficult to conduct unified quantitative analysis, a quantitative method of UAV transmission line inspection capability based on improved analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is proposed. An index system of UAV transmission line inspection capability is constructed, which includes 6 first-class indexes and 28 second-class indexes, and the index hierarchical quantitative model is constructed. The quantitative example shows that the improved analytic hierarchy process and hierarchical quantification model better realize the capability quantification of multi type UAV transmission line inspection, provide a method path for UAV type selection and capability quantification analysis, and make up for the theoretical gap of UAV capability quantification and capability evaluation.
