Abstract With the rapid growth of electric vehicle ownership, the impact of charging behavior on carbon emissions is becoming increasingly significant. In order to realize the low-carbon transformation in the transportation field, this paper proposes a low-carbon management method for electric vehicle charging based on carbon emission streams. This method establishes an optimization model considering carbon emission costs and user charging needs by accurately calculating the carbon emission streams in the power system, and uses an improved optimization algorithm to solve the problem to achieve low- carbon scheduling of electric vehicle charging. Case analysis shows that this method can effectively reduce carbon emissions in the charging process of electric vehicles, providing an effective means for electric vehicle charging management, and helping to promote the development of low-carbon transportation.
