Abstract:Crowbar with low cost and simple structure advantages make it becoming the component of doubly fed induction generator during low voltage ride through. Based on PSCAD simulation software, Crowbar protection circuit of doubly fed induction generator was simulated. The simulation results show that Crowbar can make the doubly fed induction generator quickly return to normal operating range in the low voltage ride through periods.
