Abstract:A novel build-in high voltage outdoor safety device has been developed in order to match the requirement of shortening the safety-fuse replacing time after fusing, as well as increasing the response capability of the grid. This paper analyzed the main factors that effecting the safety-fuse replacing time. The structure of the device has been improved under the consideration of outdoor environment. The test and operating results show that the replacing time has been shortened significantly by utilizing the novel device, the economic benefit also increase sharply due to the saving of manpower.
