Abstract：This paper describes the research situation and technical difficulty of quick close control for intermediate regulating valve, analysises the repeatly quick close for intermediate regulating valve of 600MW. In this case, the quick clost protection reached five times,which cause fluctuation of power and the shut down of 600MW unit at last. This paper anlysises the reasones of the case, and put forward prevention measures. Improving the reliability of protectiona nd promoting safty stable operation of power grid.
