Abstract:In view of the deficiency of the existing incremental conductance method, a control method based on the improved variable step conductance increment method is proposed. This algorithm adopts a new adaptive step length, which can be adjusted rapidly with the change of external light intensity and temperature. No matter the change is small or drastic, it can ensure fast tracking speed, high steady-state accuracy and strong system universality. The visio control flow chart and the simulink simulation model diagram of the proposed MPPT algorithm are given, and the improved algorithm, the traditional fixed-step incremental conductance method and the traditional variable-step incremental conductance method are simulated and tested in the same environment. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm is accurate and effective.
