Abstract:Aiming at the problem that the existing speed monitoring system of long-distance belt conveyor is too long, which leads to excessive cost, this paper designs a self-powered speed monitoring system of belt conveyor. The idler of conveyor is used to drive the generator to generate electricity, while the generator supplies power to the monitoring system. The system measures the frequency of the generator output electricity, and calculates the linear velocity of idler and conveyor belt through the relationship between generator frequency and rotating speed. At first, the speed monitoring system based on STM32 single-chip microcomputer is designed, then an outer-rotor permanent magnet synchronous generator is designed, and the power supply circuit of the monitoring system is designed. Then, the generator and the external circuit are simulated jointly by Ansys Simplorer software, and the output voltage waveforms of the generator under load are obtained. The voltage waveform is given to the power supply module and speed monitoring system by Proteus software for simulation, which verifies the feasibility of the system.
