Abstract:This paper introduces the new method of arrester charged test now in Dongguan Power Supply Bureau, and through the leakage current and resistive component testing, successfully found a lightning protector defects. The example is given to illustrate the new method can achieve the effect to find the defect without equipment power outage, to further validate the use of arrester charged test is feasible to replace the traditional power failure preventive test.
