Abstract:The determination of current-carrying capacity of copper busbar in the cabinet and the selection of busbar specifications are not only an important part of the design and manufacture of the low voltage switchgear cabinet , but also a significant guarantee for the safe operation of the equipment . However, there is no clear standard in China at present, because of the existence of lots of factors affecting the load flow and the specification selection of copper bus is relatively difficult and unconvincing. Through the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the conductor temperature and the ambient temperature in the cabinet, the conductor temperature is determined, and the conductor ambient temperature is preset to correct the general carrier discharge data in this paper. Then checking the calculation according to the standard recommendation method. In this way, the load capacity data of copper busbar which are suitable for low voltage switchgear in the using environment are obtained, meanwhile provides a new idea for the calculation of load flow of copper busbar of low voltage switchgear and the selection of busbar specifications.
