Abstract：The opening and closing process of circuit breaker has been studied, the opening and closing time online detection system has been designed based on high frequency coupling and decoupling principle, the details of the hardware and software design of the device have been introduced. The high voltage isolation has been realized in this device and the start and end time of circuit breaker opening and closing cycle can be obtained accurately. The experimental results show that the design of the conditioning circuits of hall current sensor and the high frequency signal coupling and decoupling circuits are reasonable, and the programming is right, the opening and closing time of the HV circuit breaker can be detected accurately by the device, and that meets with the engineering requirements.
