Abstract In this paper, transformer condition monitoring system is studied, analyze the purposeof the transformer condition monitoring and status monitoring needs, on the basis of the monitoringrequirement described in condition monitoring primary IED, and sub IED, the establishment of amonitoring device for standardized information model, and the main IED hardware and software designare described. Second, the combination of intelligent substation in the characteristics of informationsharing, status monitoring master station level networks using intelligent control transformers and otherrelated information integration, and data processing in accordance with the data characteristics. Then, based on the principle of transformer condition monitoring, functional design for the main station, andultimately meet the needs of intelligent transformer condition monitoring system design.
