Analysis of Short Circuit Fault of DC Traction Power System |

Abstract It is common to use low-voltage DC double-ended power supply to the locomotives with up and down catenary in parallel, for the large capacity of the system, low-voltage, the currents of short circuit of the DC side of the traction power supply system, so it plays a very important role to calculate the currents of short circuit of DC traction power system for setting the relays and selecting the primary equipment. Combined with the metro scene device data, this paper established the mathematical model of the 24-pulse rectifier and the traction power network .Based on the equivalent model, this paper calculated the currents of close-up and remote short circuit, and did a comparison with the results of the simulation , then analyzed the currents in the non-short circuit catenary.
