Abstract As a rising sensing technology, there are more and more applications of fiber sensing technique in Smart Grid. The working principle of multiples fiber sensing technology that matching the Smart Grid needs is briefly introduced in this paper. The application status of fiber sensing technology for power industry and related market requirement are also presented. At last, the internal industry competition of fiber sensing is also stated.
