Abstract Compressive creep test and tensile creep test was done under the high temperature condition, the compressive and tensile creep properties of SMC and MBM which are used in SF6 gas isolate high voltage switchgear was investigated. The results show that the creep deformation of SMC is bigger than MBM. And SMC and MBM is very stable under the high temperature condition. SMC and MBM are available for high voltage switchgear.
