Abstract Ferroresonance overvoltage is one of the common internal overvoltage, the overvoltage is not conducive to the safe and stable operation of the distribution network. In the process of production, and the existence of great potential safety hazard, or even cause safety accidents, light system volatile test equipment capacity, or burning equipment lead to partial interruption of power supply distribution network, moreover may lead to personnel casualties. The paper discusses the mechanism of ferroresonance overvoltage production, and connecting with the ferromagnetic resonance suppression plan proposed by the previous scholars research, put forward the ideas to improve to another. In the distribution network neutral point via arc suppression coil, detected in arc suppression coil in unbalanced voltage produced by harmonic components, and adopts the method of precise control compensation and inject a contrary to unbalanced voltage and phase voltage of the component, so that reduce the influence of the distribution network by resonance. Constructed in this paper the Matlab model demonstrates the feasibility of the scheme, and get the solution control parameters of the voltage amplitude and frequency of the error range.
