Abstract In order to plan rural power grid more accurately, combining with the new round of rural grid modification and upgrading project planning, and central village grid upgrade, three rural network regionals of coal-to-electricity project, including Beijing, Tianjin Wuqing, Hebei Baoding, have been chosen to predict the rural load when the coal-to-electricity project completed. Then the change of load characteristics were compared between before and after the coal-to-electricity project.
