Fast disconnection method of ring network based on power direction of bus coupler |

Abstract When the operation of the 110kV ring network fails and the line protection is refused due to the failure of the device, the mismatch of the principle and the setting error, the main transformer backup protection may have no selective skip trip, resulting in total station voltage loss. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a fast method of ring network splitting based on the power direction of bus coupler. At the same time as the 1 time jumper of the main transformer protection action, the bus bar of the fault line is identified and the circuit breaker running on the corresponding loop of the bus bar is skid to prevent the whole station from losing voltage and reducing the power outage range. The simulation results show that the method proposed in this paper is suitable for any type of fault in any position of the 110kV loop network if not consider the protection of two lines in the ring network refuse at the same time.
