Abstract In the field of power system, the safe operation of electric equipment is not only related to the service life of electrical equipment itself, but also to the safety of operation and maintenance personnel. The correct use of electrical equipment and the safety and reliability in the operation process have always been concerned by people. With the continuous improvement of the self-fault protection function of electric equipment, people's awareness of safety protection in use of the equipment is also increasing, and various aspects of the standards are also being perfected. The number of electrical safety accidents has indeed been reduced to a certain extent. But it is not fundamentally contained. This paper analyzes the current situation of power security, the importance of the stability and reliability of electric equipment to the national economy, clarifies the security requirements in the process of using electric equipment, and puts forward the security monitoring strategy of electric equipment based on multi-form network connection mode. It realizes the real-time on-line monitoring, fault alarm and accident cause analysis of electric equipment, as well as the pre-warning of safety hidden trouble, which fundamentally solves the safety problem of power consumption of equipment. The results show that the research and application of this system theory is of great significance to the safety of electrical equipment and the stability of power system.
