The finite element simulation analysis of a new 252kV basin-type insulator |

Abstract In order to cooperate with the engineering application of mixed gases in the future, a new 252kV three-phase in one tank type main bus basin-type insulator is developed, the structural characteristics and technical parameters of the basin-type insulator are introduced, and through the finite element analysis software Ansys, the mechanical performance and insulation performance are ensured by simulating calculate and analysis. The theoretical hydrostatic load value of the basin-type insulator is 3.53MPa, it is far more than three times design pressure value, meeting the mechanical performance requirement; with the lighting impulse withstand voltage 1050kV, the maximum electric field intensity value of shield is 22.485kV/mm, and the surface of basin-type insulator is 11.371kV/mm, it is far less than the allowable value of electric field intensity, meeting the insulation performance requirement. The basin-type insulator has passed all type test, verifying the high reliability of its mechanical and insulation performances.
