Wavelet denoising analysis of arc signals |

Abstract Using wavelet denoising method to analyze arc signal is an important aspect of applying wavelet analysis to practical engineering. Wave transform is with the characteristics of multi-resolution, as well as the ability to characterize the local characteristics of signals in both time and frequency domains. It is suitable for analyzing non-stationary signals and can observe signal gradually from rough to precise. In this paper, the arc is generated by the discharge of two copper electrodes. Used the external air source to simulate the transverse arc blowing, arc waveform with the fuction of transverse air flow is observed. The signal of arc voltage and current is analyzed by the method of wavelet denoising, and the influence of air flow on arc is explored. It is of high guiding significance for the arc extinguishing technology of switchgear and arc detection method of electric equipment.
