Research on a technology of weakening the residual flux of transformer |

Abstract In order to ensure that the power transformer works more safely and reliably in the power system, it is necessary to solve the problem of the residual flux of the transformer. So a technology of injecting pulse width modulation (PWM) voltage into the transformer to weaken the residual flux is introduced. The PWM voltage is generated by the converter according to the constant frequency variable voltage or variable frequency variable voltage modulation and inversion. The specific method is to inject DC current into the transformer to saturate the magnetization of the transformer, then inject PWM voltage into the primary side of the transformer to weaken the residual flux. The Matlab simulation results and experimental results verify the correctness and effectiveness of this technology of weakening the residual flux. It provides technical support for the safe operation of the power transformer.
