Application of CCX tool in safety design of low voltage apparatus products |

Abstract Clearances and creepage distances are the key indicators to measure the electrical safety of products. This paper analyzes the main factors determining them from IEC 60664—1 and IEC 60947—1. It discusses the mathematic principle and setup of Creo CCX tool. Based on this, design optimization of low-voltage product-limit switch using CCX is carried out, which provides important guidance on robustness design of electrical safety in low-voltage apparatus.
