Abstract  The current transformer (CT) has been taken as the example. First, take the independent power frequency current source and harmonics current source through the CT. Then, take the singles of the secondary output of CT into the measurement system which can analysis the error of CT with harmonics interference. According to the data of validate test it can be seem that harmonics will accelerate the core saturation of CT. In this process, the ratio error will offset to negative direction and phase error will offset to positive direction. Furthermore, it can also be found that the 3rd harmonic will lead the most serious affect to CT. In filter area, the ultracystallite material is superior to silicon materials. This result is contributed to select appropriate CT in power system which may effect by harmonics.
